Would you enjoy working with people who are deaf? Being part of our creative and dynamic team? We have the following vacancy in our British Sign Language Video Production team based at our Head Office in Edinburgh.
Deaf Action is looking for a well organised and enthusiastic individual to join our BSL Video Production team. The team is based at our head office in Edinburgh, however there is opportunity for the right individual to work from home if they are based further afield, as well as to have flexible working hours. You will assist in the production of videos for both external and internal clients to ensure they are accessible in British Sign Language (BSL) and/or subtitles. As well as being committed to providing high quality resources, you will have excellent organisational and administrative skills, be able to pick up new things quickly and cope with a varied workload. You will also need to have an excellent standard of communication and interpersonal skills, and be a team player. British Sign Language skills are essential, and you will either be a native BSL user or fluent at near native level. A formal qualification is not essential, but a skills test may be conducted to assess fluency.
In return, we offer a very supportive environment, the opportunity to work with varied service user groups and a commitment to developing employees. For an informal discussion about this post, please contact Richard MacQueen, Head of Video Production, 0131 322 1590, email@example.com
