  • Edinburgh & Lothians

Signing up to any of our training courses indicates you agree to our terms and conditions.

Course times

Course days and times will be clearly marked on the application form/online form and website. In the event that we are unable to host the course on your chosen day and time you will be given an alternative option or a full refund of any monies.

The cost of your chosen course will be clearly displayed on the application form and website. The cost quoted is inclusive of all materials; there will be no additional costs associated with your course.

For all applications, excluding work sponsored places, a non-refundable deposit must be received with the application in order to secure a place on the course.  The deposit amounts are clearly displayed on the application form and website.  The remaining balance is due for payment two weeks before the first class.

If you are planning to use your ILA Scotland funding to partially fund your course, you must have your account set up and have given your ILA Account Number to the Training Co-ordinator before the course starts.  If these conditions are not met you will be liable to pay the full amount yourself.  You can apply for the course without your account being set up.

Payment plans are available for most of our courses.  If you would like to discuss setting up a payment plan please contact the Training Co-ordinator on learn@deafaction.org or call on 0131 556 3218.

ILA Scotland Funding

Our courses are approved to participate in the ILA Scotland scheme.

ILA Scotland is a Scottish Government scheme that can help pay for the cost of learning. It is for people who are aged 16 or over and living in Scotland. If your income is £22,000 a year or less, you are not in full time education or you are on benefits, you can apply for a learner account from ILA Scotland that will give you up to £200 a year towards the cost of this course.

If you are planning to use your ILA Scotland funding to part pay for the course, you must have your account set up before the course starts and have provided your Learner Account number to the Training Co-ordinator before the course start date. You can apply for the course without your account being set up, but you will not be able to join the course until it is.

To find out more you can contact ILA Scotland on 0808 100 1090, or visit their website – My World of Work – ILA Funding
