SQA Level 3 BSL – Higher
This course is designed for those who have completed the SQA Level 2 BSL course.
If you have not completed the Level 2 course but do have experience of using BSL, you may be able to go straight in to Level 3. This would apply to CODAs (children of Deaf adults) or siblings / other family members of BSL users. In this circumstance, you will need to attend a skills test with one of our tutors to assess which level you are best suited to joining. The skills test is free of charge.
15th August 2019 – Thursday 14th May 2020
Class time: 6pm – 8pm
Location: Deaf Action Head Office. 49 Albany Street, Edinburgh, EH1 3QY
Cost: £800 (payment plan options available. See below)
The Level 3 course builds on what you learned in your Level 2 course. You will cover a wider range of topics and go in to more depth with the vocabulary and context. The course also incorporates basic translation from BSL to English and vice-versa.
At the end of this course you will be able to:
- Communicate using complex BSL
- Understand complex presentations in BSL
- Make a presentation and participate in a discussion in BSL
This course costs £800. This includes all course fees and SQA registration.
