Booking costs for our Communication Services
Communication & Interpreting Agency fees from 1st April 2017

For all bookings there will be a call out fee, thereafter time will be a charged at the hourly rate shown above after 2 hours. The call out fee includes time for the Communication Support Professional to travel to the assignment and preparation for the appointment.
Travel expenses will be charged at either 45p per mile, from the Interpreters base to the Venue, or, at the ticket price for travel by rail, bus or air (for this we will provide copies of all tickets/receipts).
Additional charges will be made for parking (for this we will provide copies of all tickets).
Reasonable subsistence charges will be applied (for this we will provide copies of all receipts).
Travel Time – Travel time will not normally be charged. However, in certain circumstances we may have to charge it, depending on the location of the venue. We will advise you of any travel time costs at the time of booking.
Normally the following cancellation fees will be charged (unless alternative work is found as a replacement). These are applicable to a normal working week (Monday to Friday from 9am until 5pm):-
Cancellation 1 – 3 days before assignment – FULL FEE
Cancellation 4 – 7 days before assignment – 50% FEE
Cancellation 8 or more days before assignment – £25.00
Last minute cancellations: any travel costs incurred by the worker will be charged.
For example, if a booking was made for Monday at 1pm and it was cancelled on the previous Wednesday at 2pm, then the full booking fee (100%) would apply. In the above working days are defined as: Monday to Friday, between 9am and 5pm each day.
