Six week taster course – Introduction to BSL
This 6 week taster course will give you an introduction to British Sign Language in a no pressure environment. This is the perfect starter course for those who are not sure about committing to the full SQA courses and would like to try it out before moving on to a full course**.

- Week 1 – Introducing yourself
- Week 2 – Family
- Week 3 – Live where?
- Week 4 – Travelling & Weather
- Week 5 –At the café and general hospitality
- Week 6 – Storytelling
**This course does not qualify you to go straight in to SQA Level 1. The progression from this is the SQA Introduction to BSL course.
This course costs £95. A £20 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place on the course.
This course is eligible for Skills Development Scotland’s ITA funding scheme. However, applications for ITA funding have closed for 2018-2019 as they have met their target. Applications for ITA funding will re-open in April 2019. Click here for more information

For all applications, excluding work sponsored places and ITA funded places; a non-refundable deposit of £20 must be received with the application in order to secure a place on the course, with the remaining balance due for payment 2 weeks before the class start date.
